Twitter

For the past few days I have been trying to wrap my head around this not so new tool, Twitter. I have learned how to "tweet" short little sentences and am including my blog http://grace-devita.blogspot.com/, and my LinkedIn profile so that all of you can follow all my travel discussions. You are welsomed to join in anytime. I amparticularly interested in any new or unusual destinations you are interested in traveling to. Cruise lines are adding new itineraries regularly, and tours companies are expanding their offers daily. You can take a 4 day mini-vacation within the US, or a 90 day cruise to multiple destinations around the world. don't forget about Space Travel. Virgin Atlantic is offering a once in a lifetime trip into space. If you can't afford the full trip into space, you can do all the training and come away feeling like you've been to space and back. Now that's a Return on Life you'll never forget.

Open House for African travel

Post Haste Travel is holding an Open House Feb. 5th from 5:30 to 7 PM in conjunction with Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Tauck Tours, and CC Africa (&Beyond) to share information on traveling by sea to South Africa and then continuing on with a tour and Safari. If you haven't seen South Africa, and the wonderous animals there, there is no easier way to travel to a fabulous destination than by cruise ship. South Africa is cosmopolitan and modern, and the safari's are a days ride from civilization. See the Big 5 from the comfort of 5 star lodges. More information will be available at the open house. Call 954-966-7690.

Cruise Specials

Regent Seven Seas Cruises is offering free unlimited shore excursions on many of it's upcoming cruises, that are booked by the end of March 2009. And Seabourn Cruise Lines is offering $1500 off per suite for its Europe cruises. The deals are too good to pass up. Whether you are a seasoned cruise client, or are looking for something new to do with your hard earned free time, you must consider a cruise as the best value for your Return on Life. Unpack once. All-inclusive amenities on most cruises. Meals, drinks, activities, all in the same place, at your convenience, along with seeing the sights around the world. Travel with friends, travel alone...but make sure you take time to get away from the drudgery of everyday life. Sleep until noon or stay up all night. Lose the phone. Lose the email. Give yourself and your loved ones a much needed break. Plan for this spring, or plan for next fall. But plan.

Planning for Spring

It's time to start thinking about where you want to go this spring...a long weekend break will be just what's needed by the time April rolls around. If you're a diver, Roatan, and whale shark watching might be just the thing. If you like to cruise, the cruise lines have unbelievable deals if you book before the end of January for travel throughout 2009. And the dollar is buying more in Europe. Scotland is celebrating an anniversary all year with multiple festivals. And the Chelsea Flower Show should not be missed. Don't forget to think about how travel relieves the stresses of everyday life, and take care of yourselves first.

Princess Cruises

Teresa Nix from Princess Cruises stopped in for a visit this morning to bring me up to date on all that will be available during 2009. The itineraries for Princess are wonderful, with specials available for New England/Canada, the Orient, South Pacific and South America. We will be having a Princess cruise sale sometime in February. I'll make sure to let everyone know. You may receive a promo in the mail. Also, crossing the Atlantic on the Queen Mary 2 costs less than airfare, so if you have a few extra days, that would be a great and relaxing way to get to Europe this year.

A new Beginning

Well, here it is Monday the 5th and already I am very busy pulling numbers from 2008, and planning for 2009. We have 2 open house events in February that will showcase cruises and tours and hope that we have local clients attend. RegentSeven Seas, Tauck Tours, and CC Africa, now known as &Beyond, will be here February 5th from 5 PM until 7 PM. On February 26th Viking River Cruises will be here at the same time. Feel free to stop by and visit with the representatives and learn what's new for 2009-2010. We will have food and drink available, so you can stop by before dinner and grab a snack.
Casa de Campo is coming in this Wednesday for a lunchtime training session with the consultants. We make sure all our advisors are kept up to date on properties from around the world with weekly training sessions. Ask your advisor for information. That's all for today.

New Years Outlook

Well, today is the first working day of the New Year, and we are looking forward to creating memorable trips for all our clients around the world. There are just a few places that you may want to avoid for the next month or so, but fortunately most of the world is safe and exciting. Cruises have great deals, and South America is a new destination for many people. You can book your trip close in and still get great amenities, and some cruises are offering airfare and other discounts.
I wish everyone a prosperous and healthy new year.
